Services Set For Mrs. Parks

Mrs. Dena R. Parks, 97, formerly of 211 E. Fulton ave., died of arteriosclerosis early Monday at the Grayson Nursing Home, 1625 Sixth ave. She had been ill four years.

Born in Jasper County, Mrs. Parks lived in Des Moines 70 years. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Clifton Heights Presbyterian Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery.

There are no immediate family survivors. The body will be at McLaren’s Funeral Home in West Des Moines until Wednesday noon. ~ The Des Moines Tribune (Iowa), February 28, 1966, page 13, col. 3

Note: she is the daughter of Edward and Margaret Armour Hanke. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Hunter and her son Clyde Hunter. She later married Samuel Parks.
