In Response To: Scott family..Frank, Martha, Tessie & Emmet (Debora Bringmann)

Apparently your source is Find A Grave. Frank died in Sac County and according to his death certificate he is buried in Cedar Cemetery.

Martha is on Find a Grave but I cannot find any reference to her in any records.

A Barbara Springer on Ancestry has some great photos of Frank and Tessie.

Why don't you contact the person who took the photos of the headstones on Find A Grave, a Barb Destromp, and see if they can remember where they are located?

According to Frank's stone on the Iowa Gravestone Photo Project, his stone was reset next to Martha, Tessie and Emmit in a concrete base after 2012. The GPP photo is from 2012 and is on grass but the Find A Grave photos set in concrete cannot have been taken until at least, Jan 2017 according to the memorial.

You were at the Cedar Twp Cem on 2nd Street in Fonda weren't you? I know the Zion cemetery is a block away. I am curious to where they are all buried so keep me posted. Would love for the rest of the family to have photos on the Gravestone Photo Project.

The family moved around after Martha died in 1899.
1900-Pocahontas County
1905-Carroll County
1910-Sac County
1915-Tessie was in Woodbury County where Sioux City is
1920-Tessie back in Sac County, she was a cook or chef in hotels.
1925-Sac County for Tessie as well as Frank
17 May 1926-Tessie died in Fort Dodge 8 days after a gallstone operation and is listed as buried at Fonda.
1927-Frank died in Sac County and was buried in the Cedar Twp Cemetery.
Emmit died in 1897, Martha in 1899, both in Pocahontas County.

Good luck, hopefully you can find your people on your next trip. Maybe look at the satellite view of the cemetery and see where the longer stones are in the cemetery.

BTW Frank's sister Isabelle Scott Ibson is also buried in the cemetery.
