A young wife passed away at the Presbyterian hospital last evening at 6 o'clock where she underwent an operation on Thursday. Mrs. Fred J. Bollard of Pomeroy who has been ill for eight weeks and who came to this city a week ago for medical treatment. Her husband and father were with her when the end came and she passed to the great beyond, peaceful and unafraid.

Mrs. Bollard, whose maiden name was Rosa Brown, was born at Jolley, Calhoun county, August 23, 1885, and lived there until her marriage March 16, 1904, to Fred J. Bollard, manager of the Rolfe Telephone company when, they went to Pomeroy to make their home. They had no children. J. G. Brown, Mrs. Bollard's father was here when she passed away and with the husband accompanied the body on its last sad journey to Pomeroy over the Illinois Central this morning. Mrs. Bollard was a devoted Christian, a member of the Presbyterian church and the funeral services at her home will be conducted by the Presbyterian minister on Thursday. Sympathy is extended to the bereaved husband and other near relatives.
