The community was shocked and stunned by the sudden death of Virgil Frye who lived with his wife and children 2 1/2 west of Ware on their farm.

Mr. Frye was found dead Monday Nov. 22 in the field where he was plowing, by his children. The cause of his death was attributed to a heart attack.

Virgil Valentine Frye was born at Mallard, on Feb. 14, 1902 and died Nov. 22, 1943. He had retired this last season from the Lone Rock school where he was superintendent for 12 years, and had made his home on the farm west of Ware.

He married Ruth Perkins in 1925 and to them were born 2 children; Virginia and Darwin. Ruth died in March of 1929. He married in March 1931 to Martha Wunder and to them were born to sons; Erwin and LeRoy.
