Funeral Services Held Tuesday for Mrs. Pearl Hinn
Mrs. Pearl Hinn, 79, a resident of this community for nearly 60 years, died Sunday evening at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Dodge where she had been a patient for eight days after suffering injuries in a fall at her home here. A private funeral service was held at 4 pm. Tuesday at the Hitchcock Funeral Home, with the Rev. Evan Routh of the Laurens Christian church officiating. Mrs. Chester Lund and Mrs. G. W. Moor, accompanied by Mrs. Mae Clanton, sang "Jesus, Savior, Pilot Me" and "Eventide."
Pallbearers were August Roewe, Henry Roewe, Joe Roewe, Robert Mather, Chester Lund, and Harry L. Lund. Burial was In the Laurens cemetery.
Born at Western
Pearl Ethel Hall, daughter of R. C. and Sophia Hall, was born April 15, 1876, at Western. She was united in marriage on April 15, 1896, to John George Hinn of Laurens, and made her home here ever since their marriage. They were the parents of four children, Ormand, who died in infancy, Marlon, Maurice, and Josephine.
She was a charter member of the Laurens Christian church and was active in church work as long as her health permitted. She was also Interested In all community activities. For a number of years, she had been in failing health.
Survivors
Survivors include three children, Marion (Mrs. Lloyd) Sandahl of Austin, Tex., R. M. Hinn and Josephine (Mrs. George) Hoffman of Laurens; one brother, Clifford C. Hall of Fort Dodge; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and other relatives. Her husband died in December 1952.
