Henry G. Peters
Services, were held Thursday, Jan. 22, at | St. Peter Lutheran Church, Pocahontas, for Henry G. Peters, 76, who died Monday, Jan. 19 in St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, Minn. Burial was in Summit Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Peters was born in Pocahontas County and educated in rural schools. He married Reka Beekman in 1930 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Pocahontas. Mr. Peters farmed near Pocahontas and was a part-time carpenter. He retired in 1979 and he and his wife continued to live on the farm. Mr. Peters was a member of the Lincoln Township School Board and a member of the St. Peter Church Council for many years.
Surviving are his wife, Reka; daughters, Mrs. Lowell (Norma) Hohensee, Calamus; Mrs. Earl (Verna) Dixon, San Diego, Calif.; Mrs. William. (Diane) Kemp, Waseca, Minn.; seven grandchildren; brother, Pete Peters, Palmer; sisters, Mrs. August (Tena) Porath, Newell; Mrs. Anna. Klocko, Swea City; Mrs. George (Jennie) Weiker, Manson; and Miss Minnie Peters, Pocahontas.
