Mrs. Mary Green

Funeral services for Mary Green, 95, were held Friday, April 4, at the Schellhammer Funeral Chapel, West Bend with Rev. Dale Batcheler officiating. Mrs. Robert Meyer was the pianist and accompanied Mrs. Wayne Dunn as she sang, "Beautiful Beckoning Hands" and "Beyond The Sunset."

Casket bearers were William Campbell, Gerald O'Donnell, Clifford Munson, Arthur Frieden, George Thatcher and Fred Banwart. Burial was in Clinton-Garfield Cemetery, Rolfe.

Mary, daughter of Henry and Annette Goodchild, was born June 16, 1884, at Havelock where she grew up and received her education. In 1902 she was united in marriage to Raymond Green at Havelock and they resided there and at Rolfe. Mr. Green died in 1944 and in 1949 Mrs. Green moved to West Bend where she worked as a home nurse for the local doctors. For the past 17 years she made her home in Des Moines with her daughter, Mrs. Ruby Brewster.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church of West Bend, American Legion Auxiliary, Rebekah Lodge and Bay View Club.

Surviving are children, Miss Annette Green, West Bend; Mrs. Lucille Learned and Mrs. Ruby Brewster, both of Des Moines; Donald Green, Camanche; Edward Green, Oklahoma City, Okla.; Mrs. Ann Lanning, Rutland; and Mrs. Lola Beth Martin, Oklahoma City, Okla.; 21 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; also one brother, Ned Goodchild, Havelock.
