Services held Wednesday for Bruce Brewster

Bruce Brewster of Laurens died on Sunday, April 29, 2007, Bruce had reached the age of 52 years, 6 months and 10 days.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 9 at 10:30 am. at the Smith Loterbour Powers Funeral Home of Laurens. Rev. Sara Galindo officiated at the services.

Honorary casket bearers were Darrel Oleson, Alex Shimon, Kurt Cheevers, Kurt Ludwig, Tim Kloster, Dick Dahlquist and Craig Rubel. Casket bearers were Wayne Snow, Tom Phillips, Tom Madsen, Dana Snow, Mick Shimon and Kenneth Gisch. Interment was in Laurens Cemetery with the Smith Loterbour Powers Funeral Home of Laurens in charge of arrangements.

Bruce Edward Brewster was born October 19, 1954 at Storm Lake, the son of Paul and Dorthea Christenson Brewster. He attended Laurens High School, graduating in 1973. On July 31, 1976 Bruce was married to Deb Gustafson at Laurens. To this union one son, Paul was born.

Bruce worked at Larson Oil Company, Finnestad Painting and O. K. Roofing before starting Brewster Painting in the early 1900's Bruce was a member of the Laurens Golf Club.

Survivors include his son, Paul Brewster of Panora and a sister, Betty, Mrs. Duane Ludwig of Sioux City.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
