Services held Nov. 17 for Faye Hakeman

Mrs. Faye Hakeman of Waukee died Saturday, November 14 at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines of cancer. She reached the age of 71 years, 3 months and 4 days. Services were held Tuesday, November 17 at the Waukee United Methodist Church at 11 a. m. Burial was in the Waukee Cemetery with the Fisher Funeral Home in Adel in charge of arrangements.

Faye Brewster Hakeman was born August 10, 1921, the daughter of Ethan and Belle Brewster. She lived in Laurens and Newell, prior to her move to Waukee 33 years ago. She was a teller at the Brenton Bank in Waukee prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Waukee United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.

She was married to Harold Hakeman who died in 1981.

Mrs. Hakeman is survived by two sons, Dallas Hakeman of Waukee and Dennis Hakeman of Glen Ellyn, Illinois and five grandchildren.
