Alice Lucille(Runneberg)Bohn,
daughter of Nels and Alma (Swenson) Runneberg, was born April 28, 1914, near Laurens, Iowa. She attended country school near Laurens.
On February 5,1936, Alice married Everett Bohn in Salina, Kansas. To this union two children were born. Alice and Everett farmed northwest of Curlew for many years.
Alice was an active member of the United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women in Ayrshire. She had been an active member in Curlew prior to moving to Ayrshire.
Alice was an avid horse trainer and she showed horses for many years. She was a member of the American Saddle Bred Club, the Canter Club and Northwest Iowa Saddle Club.
Alice died Saturday, February 8, 1997, at the Ruthven Community Care Center in Ruthven, Iowa, at the age of 82. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers, Arnold, Lawrence, Carl and Emmitt; and two sisters, Petunia and Florence.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Almeda and Jim McDonnell of Royal, IA and Bill and Verjean Bohn of Bennington, ME; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends.
