Death takes James Huston of Fonda Iowa.

James Huston son Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Huston died at the family residence four miles north of Fonda Iowa, Tuesday Sept, 2, 1924, aged 38 years. His last illness was of short duration and the cause of his death was pneumonia.
Some 2 weeks previous to his demise he contracted a cold, but it was not thought to be of a serious nature. August 23 he made an auto trip to Bingham Lake, Minn., taking his mother there for a visit with her daughter Mrs. Dan Reedy. He returned home the next day feeling badly, but was able to be up and about until Wednesday when he was forced to go to bed. A physician was called, who upon examination, pronounced his ailment pneumonia. His mother was called home and a skilled nurse was secured, and they did all that lay in their power to restore the patient, but to no avail and he passed away on the above named day.
James Huston was born on a farm near Raritan Illinois , March 6, 1886, and was educated in the schools of that community. The whole of his active live was devoted to farming. In 1902, he came to Iowa with his parents, who settled on a farm near Fonda. After the death of his father on January 29, 1918, the responsibility of continuing the farm work fell upon James. He proved equal to the task, and his efforts produced profitable results. He was a loving son and took particular delight in making life for his mother pleasant. To her and the brothers and sisters, his death was a sad blow. They have the sympathy of many friends in their bereavement.
He was a faithful member of the Catholic Church, and went to his final reward endowed with the last rites of his faith.
He is survived by his mother, 2 brothers , Chris and Hugh , of Fonda, and 3 sisters, Mrs. Katherine Reedy of Aurora IA, Mrs. Lucy Lilly of Fonda IA, and Mrs. Frances Reedy of Bingham Lake, Minn.
