Funeral Services Held Friday for Mrs Alma Runneberg

Funeral services for Mrs Alma (Swensen) Runneberg, 83, who died last Tuesday at the home of her daughter near Curlew, were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Bethany Lutheran church with a prayer service at 11:30 a.m. at Hitchcock Funeral
Home.

The Rev. A.M. Youngquist pastor of the church, officiated. Music was by a quartet from the First Christian church, consisting of Harry and Chester Lund, G.W. Moor, and Elmer Larson, who sang "Rock of Ages" and "NO Night There." They were accompanied by Mrs Florence Schyver.

Pallbearers were Oscar Lindvall, Myron Oleson, Clyde Peterson, L. J. Hopkins, Edgar Grossnickle and Otis Pieratt.

Born in Kansas

Alma Eleanor Swensen, daughter of Carl and Marie Swensen, was born Jan. 27, 1873, at Assaria, Kansas. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.

In 1900 she was united in marriage to Nels Runneberg, and most of her married life was spent in the Laurens community. They were the parents of seven children, four sons and three daughters. Her Husband, two daughters, two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

Mrs Runneberg is survived by one daughter, Alice (Mrs. Everett) Bohn of Curlew; four sons, Arnold, Lawrence, Carl, and Emmett, all of the Laurens community; 15 grandchildren, nine great grand children and two sisters
