Mrs. Belinda Runneberg Has Gone To Rest

Balinda Pearson, Daughter of Pe'r and Bertha Pearson was born Nov. 21, 1867, near the town of Solvesborg, Sweden.
She was baptized and confirmed in the Swedish Lutheran church in her home town of Solvesborg. At the age of 16 she came to America and located in Chicago, Illinois, where she resided until her marriage to Andrew Runneberg of Paxton Illinois. To this union was born three children, Mrs.Blanche (Joe) Atkinson of Emmetsburg, Elroy 0f Havelock, and Albert of Mallard.
After residing for a period of four years on a farm near Hinsdale, Illinois, they moved to their farm near Havelock, Iowa where she has lived until her death on May 26, 1944 at the age of 76 years, 6 months and 5 days. She was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters and two brothers.
She had been under the doctor's care for a number of years and was confined to her bed for the last two days.
She leaves to mourn her death, her two sons, and daughter and five grandchildren.
Sevices were conducted on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the house by Rev. Harvey Walker and Mrs. Eva Brallier and at the Lutheran church in Laurens at 3 p.m.. Rev. Carl O. Swan was in charge of the church services and burial in the Laurens cemetery.
The Pallbearers were Gust Anderson, Otto F. Hansen, C. B. Perry, Jr., Harold Crowell, D. O. Hartsock, Gust C. Anderson.
A sweet and loving mother, who lived a full and beautiful life, has passed on to her reward. Her gentle dignity of manner and unselfishness of spirit endeared her to all, for she stood at all times for those things which are finest and beat in life.
