I have the marriage license for my grandmother Anna SIEGEL to Grandfather John BECKER in LeMars in 1897. I got some good information from it especially where they were from in Germany. One thing I am curious about. It does not mention the church where they were married. Under "by whom Married" it is difficult to read the name. It looks to be "H. J. Me---Rector." Does anyone know what church had rectors who performed marriages in LeMars? I know they were devout Catholics as long as I can remember, but we know nothing about Grandma's earlier life. We also have many portraits taken in LeMars but don't know who they are. Any help at all would make me very happy.
