I am reseaching my maternal grandmother, born in Westfield 5 Oct 1885 Her father was Alexander Campbell, her mother Letitia Newell Atkins. Her parents - and some other family members - moved over from Nottingham UK for a new life in the USA, at some point in the 1880s. Alexander's business -(?farming)- went bankrupt and the family returned to the UK. Some other family members remained, some for a short time others left children behind. A daughter of Alexander's brother reputably died in Oregon in 1978. Edward returned to UK briefly, before going to New Zealand. His son married in Australia 1916, dying on Active Service 1917.
