August and Essie Mae Kramer

My great grandfather and great grandmother at one point lived in or around Merrill, Iowa.

Essie May Long Kramer died there and was buried there 7 Nov 1940. I do not know where she is buried.

However, more interesting is that August owned a gas station in Merrill, Iowa

Story: August was owner and operator of a gas station in Merrill, Iowa and on 16 Aug 1943 was found dead with a large lump on the back of his head which was never explained. He was noted for carrying a large lump sum of money on him all the time because he did not trust banks and there was no money found on him when he was discovered. The doctor put his death down as a heart attack. (information was obtained from Jake Kramer)

Another story, by Ola Kramer-wife of Bill Kramer, was he was pumping gas and had a heart attack and because of low esteam of banks he buried his money but none of his money was ever found

Would love to have more info or if there is an article...I would love to have the transcript.

Thanks in advance if you are checking this for me. I would ask Jake Kramer (2nd son of August, my grandfather; however, he passed away a few years ago).

I do not know where August is buried. I have been told in Nebraska...but that doesn't make sense.
