Catherine Kate Koob Mathwig, was born in Prairie spring twp. Jackson co. Baptized at St. Donatus,
Catholic church her family then traveled to Caledonia, MN for a short time. They came to LeMars Ia before the 1880 Fredonia twp Plymouth co. Census. Her parents John and Eva burg Koob
of St Joseph Church LeMars,Ia Her siblings Joseph Koob,Theresa koob Kelly, annie Koob Kramer
Mary Koob Streff. She was married before Sept25,1893 she wasnt married in LeMars, I was told she lived in Souix City Iowa maybe in westfield twp. by 1900 Fredonia twp Plymouth co.
census she was 36years old living with her brother Joseph by the next census she was gone.
I fig. she was a widow by 1900 or before and perhaps died before the nezt census. Any help would be nice. Kate was my grandpa Joseph Koob of Iona, MN sister. Marisa
