Edward Wilkins seems to have been an orphan on the 1870 and 1880 censuses. In 1900 he is married with three children.
In 1880, Edward is 13, living in Elkorn, Plymouth, Iowa with Henry and Barbara Davis who have two other unrelated men living with them. Is it possible that Barbara was his sister?
In 1885, Edward is 18, living in Lincoln, Plymouth, Iowa.
In 1900, Edward is 32, married 10 years, living with wife Katie, sons Victor and Raymond, and daughter Odelia.
In 1910, Edward is 42, living with Catherine, Victor, Odelia, Raymond, Marie, and Florence.
He consistently claims his birthplace as Missouri, but sometimes says his parents were born in NY, other times doesn't give a birthplace for them. Wife Catherine "Katie", was born Wisconsin, parents born Germany.
He also lived in Kingsley, Iowa; Athol,South Dakota; and Los Angeles, CA.
There was a Matthew Lawrence Flinn who married a Mary Emma Wilkins and owned land in Plymouth co., Iowa and in South Dakota. Mary Wilkins was the foster daughter of James Puck.
If any of these names are familiar, I would qppreciate any information you have. I am trying to find Edward's parents and siblings.
