Mrs. Joe Hughes Died Wednesday in Washington
Mrs. Joe Hughes, who spent nearly all her life in Plymouth county, died Wednesday in Washington, D. C., where she had made her home the past three years, after a brief illness and the body will be brought to LeMars Sunday for burial. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the First Methodist Episcopal church of which she was a member.
Jennie Dack was the oldest child of Mrs. E. J. Dack and was born in Plymouth county 52 (error--53) years ago last month. When about 18 years of age she married Joseph Hughes, who preceded her in death five years ago. They had *no children, but she is survived by a number of relatives. A niece, Emma, will accompany the body from Washington.
(*Transcriber note--Jennie and Joseph had 3 children, 2 of which were adopted, all of which died in infancy or childhood between 1915-1925.)
