Mrs. A. Husted Adaville Woman Claimed By Death
Was Member Of Pioneer Plymouth County Family and Life Long Resident

Mrs. Albert Husted, lifelong resident of Plymouth County until three years ago, died May 4 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. August Helm , in Rodney, Iowa, after an illness of five weeks . Mrs. Husted had been in failing health for two years.

Martha May Fletcher was born December 1, 1876, in Plymouth County, her parents being pioneers in Pleasant Valley, in Johnson Township . She was united in marriage in Le Mars July 8, 1892, with Albert Husted, who died October 18, 1926. Thirteen children were born to them, two dying in infancy .

The children, four daughters and seven sons, are; Mrs. August Helm, Mrs. M . L . Barnes, Mrs. Earl Orr and Mrs. George McLarty, Jr., with the sons, Henry F., Arthur, Benjamin R., Water Lee, Earl S. George A., and Wesley W., mourn her death . She is also survived by four sisters and two brothers, fifteen grandchildren, besides other relatives and a host of friends.

Mrs. Husted always lived in Plymouth County, near Adaville, until the past three years when she went to a farm near Smithland, Iowa . About two years ago she began to fail in health and for the past five weeks it has been known there was no hope of her recovery.

As a young woman Mrs. Husted united with the United Brethren Church at Adaville and has lived a consistent Christian life. She was always ready to help in times of sickness or trouble in her community. She was a devoted mother and a staunch, loyal friend.
