Mrs. Anton Wittkop

Mrs. Anton (Theresa C.) Wittkop, 77, a lifetime Plymouth County resident, died Thursday at Floyd Valley hospital after a long illness. Her home was at 25 Seventh Ave. SE.

Mrs. Wittkop resided at the hospital for three years, and 5 months.

Theresa Rodenbour was born June 3, 1894, in Le Mars, the daughter of the late John and Anna Rodenbour. She married Anthony Wittkop on June 14, 1941, at Struble. The couple farmed for several years and retired to Le Mars in 1944.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic church in Le Mars. Rev. Dean Walker will officiate and the burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Le Mars, under the direction of the Luedtke funeral home. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday. Christian Mothers rosa y will be at 3 p.m. Friday and the parish rosary at 8:30 p.m.

Mrs. Wittkop was a member of St. Joseph's church, Christian Mothers Society, and World War 1 women's auxiliary.

Survivors are her husband, Anton, Le Mars, who resides at the hospital; a sister, Mrs. Amelia Plendl, Le Mars, and a brother Leo Rodenbour, Maurice.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Nick and John Rodenbour, and a sister, Mrs. Susan Plendl.
