Oereinigte Staaten. Dem Le Mars herold von vor. Woche entnehmen wir das Folgende: Gestorben ist am Montag Abend herr Dominik Arendt von LeMars im Alter von 60 Jahren. Seine Leiche wurde aus dem katholischen Friedhose zu LeMars beerdigt. Die Zahl der ihn zur lessten Ruhestatte Begleitenden ist ein Beweis, dass derselbe sich allgemeiner Auchtung erfreute. Der Berstordene war im November 1833 zu Korich, Luxemburg geboren. Er kam mit seiner Gattin im Jahre 1857 nach Amerika und liess sich in St. Donatus, Jackson County, Ia., als Mobel und Bauschreiner nieder. In 1873 kam er nach Plymouth County und kauste sich eine Farm in Marion Township. Als im herbste 1884 seine Frau gestorben war, verkauste er seine Farm und kam mit seiner Familie nach LeMars. Im Jahre 1889 heirathete er seine ihn uberlebende Frau, geborene Margaretha Kartheiser. Er
hinterlasst ausser der Wittwe 5 Sohne und eine Tochter. Nik., Peter un J. Peter wohnen in Dakota, John in Chukley, und Marie in St. Donatus, der jungste, John, ist in LeMars, Ia. R.I.P.

Oereinigte countries. The LeMars Herold of before. We take the following from week: on Monday evening Mr. Dominik Arendt of LeMars died at the age of 60 years. He was buried in the Catholic cemetery in LeMars. A proof is the number of that he to the last resting place accompanying, that of Attention pleasant general himself. The decesed was born in the November 1833 at Korich, Luxembourg. He came with his wife in the year 1857 to America and lived in St. Donatus, Jackson County, Ia., when furniture and everything low. In 1873 he came to Plymouth County and bought a farm in Marion Township. In the autumn of 1884 his very fine wife had died. He sold his farm and came with his family to LeMars. In the year 1889 he married his surviving wife, born Margaretha Kartheiser. He leaves behind except the widow of 5 sons and a daughter. Nik., Peter and j. Peter live in Dakota, John in Chukley, and Marie in St. Donatus that youngest, John is, in LeMars, Ia. R. I. P.

United States. We learned the following from the
LeMars Herald of last week. Mr. Dominik Arendt of
LeMars died Monday evening [August 7 or 14, 1893] at
the age of 60 years. His body was buried in the
Catholic cemetery at LeMars. The numbers accompanying
him to the final resting-place is proof that he
enjoyed universal respect. The deceased was born in
November 1833 at [Koerich] Luxembourg. He came to
America with his wife in the year 1857 and [worked?]
in St. Donatus, Jackson County, Ia., as a furniture
and building carpenter [Neider-low, inferior or
mean-doesn't fit into this sentence, so maybe I'm
wrong!] In 1873, he came to Plymouth County and bought
a farm in Marion Township. In the autumn of 1884, his
wife died. He sold his farm and came with his family
to LeMars. In the year 1889, he married his surviving
wife, born Margaretha Kartheiser. Besides the widow,
he leaves behind 5 sons and a daughter: Nik., Peter
and J. Peter living in Dakota, John in Chukley [sic]
and Marie in St. Donatus. The youngest, John, is in
LeMars, Ia. R. I. P.

ARENDT-At LeMars on Monday evening August 7, 1893, Dominic Arendt.

He was born in Germany in 1833, came to America in 1857. In 1873 he moved to
Plymouth County and lived in Marion township until 1885, then moved to this
city. The funeral took place at St. Joseph's Catholic church.
