DEATH CLAIMS E. KISSLING

Erwin Kissling, 74, retired laborer of LeMars was found dead in his chair on the porch of the T. J. Ruether home where he lived, Sunday evening about 6:30. Mr. Kissling was alive at 4:30 in the evening. Death was due to a heart ailment.

Erwin Kissling was born in Switzerland Sept. 27, 1868, and came to America when a young man. He worked on farms and at other occupations as long as his health permitted. While living in LeMars, he was married to Mrs. Kate Heider, who preceded him in death. According to officers he had no relatives in this part of the country.

Funeral services were held from the Luken Funeral home Tuesday afternoon.

For many years Mr. Kissling worked on farms in the Ireton vicinity. He worked for the writer of these items when he was farming what is known as the Jones place northeast of Ireton, 45 years ago.
