Mrs. Mercedes Moir

Funeral services for Mrs. Mercedes Moir, 61, well-known for her radio program on KLEM, will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic church in Alton.

Rev. Mervin Hood will officiate and burial will be in the Calvary cemetery, LeMars, under direction of the Leudtke funeral home, LeMars.

The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Moir was well-know for her woman's program "Patterns for Living" broadcast daily on LeMars radio station KLEM. She was hostess of the program the last 10 years. She also was active in civic and community affairs in Sioux county.

The former Mercedes M. Wiltgen, she was born Dec. 27, 1910, at Alton. She and Lloyd Moir were married Jan. 6, 1931, in LeMars. They farmed southwest of Orange City.

Survivors are her husband Lloyd of Orange City; two sons, Air Force Maj. Lloyd L. of Bellevue, Neb., and John E. of Humboldt; two daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Peggy Jean) Scott of Lawton and Mrs. Paul A. (Elizabeth Sue) Vander Berg of Fredericksburg, Va.; four brothers, Cyril and Albert Wiltgen, both of LeMars, Ed Wiltgen of Sioux City and Robert Wiltgen of Cheyenne, Wyo.; two sisters, Mrs. Chris Hirsch of LeMars and Helen Wiltgen of St. Paul, Minn., and 10 grandchildren.
