Lloyd L. Moir

Lloyd L. Moir, 65, rural Orange City, died Sunday, Dec. 29, 1974, at Floyd Valley hospital. Mr. Moir was in failing health the last several months and was a patient at Floyd Valley since Nov. 6.

Services are planned at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Luedtke funeral home. Friends may call at the Luedtke funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Burial will be in Calvary cemetery, LeMars.

Lloyd Moir ws a son of Russell J. and Lillian Moir, born March 3, 1909. He lived in this area all his life, farming in Sioux county since 1939.

His marriage to Mercedes Wiltgen took place in LeMars, Jan. 6, 1931. She preceded him in death in October 1972.

Lloyd Moir is survived by two sons, Lt. Col. Lloyd L. Moir, Jr., who is with the air force stationed in Japan, and John E., Sioux City, and two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Schot, Lawton, and Mrs. Paul (Susan) Vander Berg, Frederickson (sic--Fredericksburg), Va.

Also surviving him are 11 grandchildren, one brother, Earl, LeMars, and a sister, Mrs. Alice Deegan, LeMars.

He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
