Last Rites Held For Peter Moran

Funeral services were held Thursday morning for Peter J. Moran, 66, who died Tuesday at Rochester, Minn., where he had gone for medical treatment. He bad been ill for two months. The Rev. L. J. LaVelle conducted the final rites at St. James Catholic church, and burial was in St. James cemetery. Arrangements were made by Wiltgen's funeral home.

Mr. Moran is survived by his widow, Annie, two daughters and a son, Mrs. E. T. McDermott of Mason City, Mrs. Andy Beernick of LeMars and Robert P. Moran of Lewisburg, Kans.; five grandchildren and a brother, John Moran of Rock Rapids, and sister, Mrs. Nellie McDonald of Pueblo, Colo,

He was born Aug. 29, 1883 at Struble, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Moran. He spent his entire life in the county, farming near Struble until moving to LeMars in 1938. His marriage to Anna Coffey took place Oct. 2, 1907, in LeMars. In recent years the Morans have operated a motel on highway 75 in LeMars.
