Alfred B. Grasz

Alfred B. Grasz, 84, Le Mars, died Sunday (April 3, 1983) in the Plymouth Manor Care Center in Le Mars.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. John’s Lutheran church at Le Mars. Rev. Thomas Lee officiated. Burial was in the Le Mars Memorial cemetery under direction of the Mauer funeral home, Le Mars.

Alfred B. Grasz, was born June 10, 1898, at Kramer, Neb. He moved to Plymouth County as a young man. He married Hannah Wilkens on Dec. 1, 1923 in Preston Township, rural Akron. The couple lived and farmed in the Craig area until moving into Le Mars in 1948. He was a retired farmer and carpenter.

Survivors include his wife; five sons, Lester, Larry and Vernon, all of Le Mars, Orval of Craig and Norman of rural Ireton; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one brother, Herman of Lincoln, Neb., and one sister, Mrs. Clara Lambert of Beatrice, Neb.
