MRS. JANJIA HARMS OF CRAIG EXPIRES AFTER LONG ILLNESS
Funeral Friday At Grant Church
Mrs. Janjia Louisa Harms, 70, lifelong resident of Plymouth county and the Craig vicinity, died Wednesday at the Hawarden Community hospital after several years of illness. She had been hospitalized four days.
Funeral services will he at 2 p.m. Friday at Christ Lutheran church in Grant township. Rev. Dennis Mueller will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery under direction of Mauer's funeral home.
Janjia Louisa Weyen was born Jan. 5. 1892, in Grant township, the daughter of John and Martha Eltjes Weyen. She was married Feb.10, 1916 to O. Martin Harms in Grant Township. He died in 1942.
Surviving are a son and daughter, Raymond Harms of rural LeMars and Mrs. Margaret Wabeke of Craig; three granddaughters; three sisters, Mrs. Martin Johnson of Craig, Mrs. Albert Collman of LeMars and Mrs. Robert Baker of Minneapolis and a brother, Herman Weyen of rural LeMars.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.
