Funeral Friday for lifelong Le Mars resident
Phyllis M. Stevens. 63. lifelong Le Mars resident, died early Wednesday (Aug. 8. 1984) at Marian Health Center, Sioux City, after an 8-week illness.
Mrs. Stevens with her husband Don operated Stevens Cleaners in Le Mars since 1954.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars. Rev. George McFadden will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under direction of the' Luedtke-Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday. The parish rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. and Catholic Daughters of America rosary at 8 p.m.
Phyllis Margaret McGraw was born Dec. 12, 1920, in Le Mars to Emmett and Ollie VanderHam McGraw. Her marriage to Donald Stevens took place May 12, 1948, in Le Mars.
She was a member of St. James Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters of America, Court Santa Maria 179.
Survivors are her husband, Donald, Le Mars; two daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Judy Ann) Hoffman, LaCrosse, Wis., and Mrs. Barry (Patricia Stevens, D.V.M.) Kopf, Omaha; three grandchildren, Stephanie and Andrea Hoffman and Kelli Michaela Kopf. She was preceded in death by her parents.
