Albert Fredrick Collmann, 77, died Friday at Floyd Valley hospital after an illness of several months. He was hospitalized July 9.
Mr. Collmann was born Aug. 14, 1890, in Preston township near Akron. He was a lifelong Plymouth county resident and farmed in Grant and Preston townships until retiring to Le Mars in 1942. His parents were the late Henry and Anka Helgens Collmann. His marriage to Martha Frances Weyen took place Dec. 27, 1917 in Grant township.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Christ Lutheran church. Grant township. Rev. Earnest Christensen will officiate and burial will be in Christ Lutheran cemetery. Grant township.
Survivors are his wife Martha F. Collmann, Le Mars; a daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Ann) Andresen, rural Akron; four granddaughters, Sandra, Marylin, Jane and Mary Beth Andresen of rural Akron and a brother Henry Collmann, Chatsworth.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, William and Louis; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Borchers, Mrs. Henry Theilen and Mrs. Ben Theilen.
He was a member of Christ Lutheran church and a veteran of world war 1.
