LOUIS COLLMAN DIES AT HARTLEY—HOLD RITES IN GRANT TWP.

Louis Collman, 78, son of Henry and Anka Heigens Collman, was born April 26, 1883, in Preston township Plymouth county, and died May 8, at Hartley.

He attended the public schools near his boyhood home and had been engaged in farming all his life. He resided in Plymouth county until 17 years ago, when he moved to the Hartley community. He had lived on a farm near Hartley since that time.

Feb. 7, 1907, he was united in marriage to Clara Furchner at Le Mars. To them were born three children, one of whom, a daughter, Ruth, preceded him in death. He was also preceded by his parents, three sisters and a brother.

Surviving are his wife, Clara; a daughter, Cleo (Mrs. Fred Schroeder), and a son, Ralph, all of Hartley; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild, a sister; Mrs. Henry Theilen of Le Mars, and two brothers, Albert of Le Mars and Henry of Chatsworth,.

Funeral services were held Thursday at 1 p.m. in St. Paul Lutheran church, Hartley, and at 3 p.m. in Christ Lutheran church, Grant township. Officiating were Rev. A. O. Bleeke and Rev. B. Nagel. Burial was in the Grant township Lutheran cemetery under the direction of Baumgarten funeral home, Hartley.
