Funeral services for Mrs.Margaret Jane Tooker, 91, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Merrill United Methodist Church. Rev. J.L. Vallery will officiate and burial will be in Merrill Hillside Cemetary under direction of the Mauer funeral home.

Mrs. Tooker died Tuesday at Floyd Valley Hospital after an illness of several weeks. She entered the hospital the day before she died. She had been a resident of Maplewood nursing home in Sioux City before going to Brentwood Good Samaritan center April 11.

Margaret Gilpin was born Sept. 20, 1880 at Belmond. She had been a teacher at Salem, SD after attending normal school. She went to Merrill in 1906 and had since resided there. Her parents were John and Sofronia Coyx Gilpin.

Her marriage to Willis E. Tooker took place Feb. 22, 1906 in Merrill. He preceeded her in death in 1928.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Harold (LaVon) Meyer, Sioux City, Mrs. Leonard (Mabel) Kaye, New Hall, Calif., Mrs Richard (Joyce) Lindroth, Los Angeles, six grandchildren and 15 great-grand children.

She was a member of Merrill United Methodist Church.

Mrs Tooker was preceeded in death by her husband, two brothers and two half brothers.
