C. KLOSTERMAN DIED IN CALIF.
Was Former Well-Known LeMars and Remsen Business Man

Clem Klosterman, about 60, a former LeMars and Remsen resident, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Compton, Calif., on Friday night. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Kennedy received a wire Saturday morning informing them of the death and left immediately by plane for California. No other details were available, as to how the death occurred or as to funeral arrangements. Mrs. Kennedy is a sister of Mr. Klosterman and he has two sisters at Remsen.

The Klostermans moved to California about 10 years ago. Mr. Klosterman was in the insurance business. Being under a doctor’s care for a heart ailment for some time, Mr. Klosterman had been advised to do no work. Mrs. Klosterman was the former Winifred Kennedy. There are 15 surviving children.

~Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Klosterman of Compton, California, are visiting friends in this county. Mr. Klosterman is now representing the New York Life Insurance company in Compton and is on his way back from New York City, having won a trip east for his sales. When Mr. and Mrs. Klosterman moved from LeMars to California a few years ago, they received considerable publicity because they took with them seventeen children. Ten of those children are still living at home and Mr. Klosterman carries with him a picture of the group.
