Mrs. George J. Frerichs, route 4, LeMars, died Thursday (Aug. 31, 1972) at Sioux City St. Joseph hospital after a short illness.

The former Norma Renken, she was born Dec. 10, 1925, in Grant township, the daughter of Henry and Amanda (Ahrendt) Renken. She and George J. Frerichs were married Nov. 3, 1949, at Christ Lutheran church. Grant township. Mrs. Frerichs was a lifelong rural LeMars resident.

She was a member of Christ Lutheran church and served as a Sunday school teacher for many years, was general treasurer of A.L.C.W. and served as a girls 4-H leader.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Christ Lutheran church. Grant township with Rev. Robert Reitz officiating. Burial will be in Christ Lutheran cemetery. Grant township, under direction of the Luken-Johnson funeral home.

Survivors are her husband George of LeMars; two sons, Bruce and Steven, both of Le Mars; a daughter, Sandra of Le Mars; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Renken of Le.Mars; two brothers, Elmer Renken of Ireton and Melvin Renken of Manson; three sisters, Mrs. John (Delores) Moritz of Struble, and Wilma and Marlys Renken, both of Le Mars, and several nieces and nephews.
