Elmer C. Mammen

Elmer C. Mammen, 80, Plymouth County native and longtime LeMars resident, died Oct. 15, 1986, at Floyd Valley Hospital after and illness of one month.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Grant Township Lutheran Church, rural LeMars, under the direction of the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Jack Hebard will officiate. Burial will be in Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Grant Township.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.

He was born Jan. 28, 1906, in Grant Township to Chales H. and Anna Borchers Mammen. His marriage to Irene Doering took place June 22, 1941, at Christ Lutheran Church.

Survivors are his wife, Irene, LeMars; a son, Arthur Mammen of Berkeley, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. William (Alice) Kruse and Mrs. Minnie DOering, both of LeMars, and a brother, Carl Mammen of LeMars.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
