Dorothy, six year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Benecke, died on Friday, June 11, 1926 of pneumonia, which she had for only a few days. She took sick Wednesday evening and her spirit passed on to a better world Friday noon. She leaves to mourn her sudden departure from this world of sin her parents and one sister besides other relatives and numerous friends.

The funeral was held from the home at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Burial was made in the cemetery of the church in Grant Township.

Dorothy Mae Benecke Dies After Illness of Two Days—Aftermath of Influenza

Brunsville, la., June 12 (Special) —

Dorothy Mae Benecke, five years and a half old, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Benecke, living about four miles northwest of Brunsville, died Friday afternon about 2 o'clock after a two days illness with pneumonia, which was declared to be an after effect of influenza, from which the child had been suffering. According to the report, the child had been sick only two days, and a doctor was in attendance only one day.

Thit funeral was Sunday afternoon in the Grant township Lutheran church, and the body was buried in the Grant township Lutheran cemetery.; Dorothy Mae Benecke was born on Oct 31, 1920 in Grant township. She was sickly most of her life. Besides her parents she is survived by several brothers and sisters.
