John (Jack) Beitelspacher, 79, of rural Maurice died Tuesday, February 14, 1989 at St. Luke's Medical Center in Sioux City after a brief illness. Funeral services were conducted on Friday, February 17, 1989, at Christ Lutheran Church in Grant Township in rural Le Mars, the Reverend Jack Hebard officiating. Burial was in Christ Lutheran Cemetery under the direction of the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars.

Mr. Beitelspacher was born May 3, 1909 in rural Plymouth County, Iowa to Rheinhold and Rose (Gartner) Beitelspacher. He married Freeda Beeck on February 15, 1933 in Johnson Township, Plymouth County. She died in 1967. He married Marie Nannen Beeck on June 26,1971 in Le Mars. She died in 1979.

Mr. Beitelspacher was a retired farmer and trucker. He was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church.

Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Louis (Louise) Toel of Le Mars; step-children Mrs. C. A. (Shirley) Peterson of Le Mars, and Ronald Beeck of Le Mars; two step-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Henry and Ernest; two sisters, Emma and Caroline; and a nephew.
