Life's End

ALFRED RABY, 90, OF AKRON DEAD

Alfred Raby, 90, Akron farmer, died Sunday morning at an Akron hospital after a year's illness.

Mr. Raby was born Dec. 30, 1874, at Lascard. England, and came to Sergeant Bluff at the age of 17. He also lived at Lawton, Hinton, Merrill, Sioux City and Akron. He married Alice Angove Oct. 5. 1902, at Sioux City. Mrs. Raby died Feb. 1, 1964.

He was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren church of rural Merrill.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Elsie Kamm of Sioux City; three sons; Herbert of Akron, and Chester and Albert, both of Merrill: nine grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

The body was taken to the W. Harry Christy funeral home in Morningside.

Long Illness Fatal To Father Of An Akron Farmer

Alfred Raby, 90, who presently had resided near here in the home of his son, Herbert, passed away Sunday, May 23, at the Akron Hospital after a year's illness.

Mr. Raby was born Dec. 30, 1874, at Lascard, England, and came to Sergeant Bluff at the age of 17. He also lived at Lawton, Hinton, Merrill, Sioux City, and Akron. He married Alice Angove Oct. 5, 1902, at Sioux City. Mrs. Raby died Feb. 1, 1904. He was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church of rural Merrill.

Funeral services were held at the Evangelical United Brethren church, Adaville, Rev. Richard list officiating. Pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased. Burial was in Logan Park cemetery, Sioux City.
