Former Hinton Man Died Last Thursday In Sioux City Hospital

Roy Bogenrief, 63, Hinton postmaster from 1933 to 1942, and former hardware dealer there, died Thursday at a hospital in Sioux City, after an illness of several months, Mr. Bogenrief was born May 1, 1885, at Hinton. He married Nellie Waters September 1, 1909. He operated a hardware store at Hinton with his father until 1914 when he moved to a ranch in Montana. In 1930 he returned to Hinton. Prior to his illness ho was employed by the Sioux Honey association of Sioux City.

Survivors are the widow, three sons, Frank of Hinton, Robert of Sioux City, and Bryan in the army stationed at Brooklyn, N, Y.; a daughter, Mrs. John Roehrich of Hinton; a sister, Mrs. Earl Emer, of Le Mars, and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday in Sioux City with Rev. W. C. Smith officiating.
