The little baby that came to gladden the hearts and home of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Bennett on August 9th, died suddenly Saturday morning. It was a great shock to the parents as well as to the many relatives, as the little fellow had been in apparent good health for several days and on the day before was very playful. He was seized with spasms on Saturday morning and went from one to another until death came to his relief. Dr. Cilley arrived before the little spirit took its flight, but he could not control the spasms.
Funeral services were held at the church at Chatsworth Monday. Revs. Blackman and Moore, of Akron, spoke kind words of sympathy and many kind friends attended and displayed sincere sympathy to the bereaved relatives. The interment was in the Akron cemetery, nearly all those present at the church following the little body to its last resting place. Undertaker Johnson, of Akron, directed the ceremonies.
Death is always sad. The old must-die and the young may die; but it is hard for us to understand when the little buds just bursting into flowers are taken from our arms, and we turn to the poet for consolation, who says:
But the Lord's fair garden needed one more flower And we gave you back to God, Missing all life's sunshine from Unit lonely home lieu we lay our darling beneath the sod.
