Funeral services for John Carl Helmrichs, age 68, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, at St John's Lutheran Church, the Rev. James Sandvik officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery, the Schroeder Funeral Home in charge. Pall bearers were Fred Andresen, R. G. Witt, Elmer Borchers, Glen Molzen, Ed Drake and Randall Brietbarth. A prayer service was held at 8 p.m. Monday, April 3, at the funeral home.

Mr. Helmrichs died March 31 at his home.

He was born March 1,1904, in Preston Township in Plymouth County. He married Margaret Erks in 1935 in Preston Township, she. died in 1955. Mr. Helmrichs farmed in the Akron area until retiring to Akron, two years ago.

Survivors are his daughter, Mrs. Larry Lorensen of Akron; a granddaughter; a : brother Henry of Akron and a sister, Mrs. Art Moeller of Spirit Lake, Iowa.
