Funeral services for John D . Frerichs, age 92, were held at 2 p.m., Monday, November 29 at St. John Lutheran Church, Reverend James Sandvik, officiating. Burial was in the Church cemetery, the Schroeder Funeral Home in charge. Pall bearers were: Gene Frerichs, Roger Frerichs, Jerry Frerichs, Keith Frerichs,Kenneth Marshall and Gary Marshall. A prayer service was held at the funeral home at 7 p,m., November 28.

Mr. Frerichs died Thursday, November 25. He was born September 26, 1879, in Preston Township near Akron. He farmed In Plymouth County most of his life, retiring to Akron in 1948. On February 24, 1904 Mr. Frerichs married Mary Nannen, at Akron. She died in 1958 at Akron. Mr. Frerichs was president of the Portland Township school board for 24 years.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Clara Satthoff of Chatsworth, Mrs. Edna Marshall of Ireton; five sons, Albert, Ben, Louis, Ed and Herb, all of Akron; a brother,
H. R. Frerichs of Akron; 18 grandchildren,
19 great-grandchildren.
