— Dennis Morley was found dead in a barn at LeMars, Wednesday by children at play. He was a bachelor farmhand, an old soldier, and had no relatives
there. Two bottles, one half full of whiskey, were found with the corpse. The coroner's jury favors the theory of suicide.

NOTES: Further research reveals that the last name is actually spelled MURLEY. Dennis/Denis Murley was born in 1837 and died May 23, 1893. He is buried in LeMars Memorial Cemetery, Block 8.
