Henry Molzen, 93, of Le Mars, died Saturday (Nov. 12.1983) at Plymouth Manor in Le Mars. Services will be at 1:30 p. m. Wednesday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, rural Akron. Rev. Robert Kruempel will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home.

Henry Amos Molzen was born July 29, 1890, in Preston Township, Plymouth County to Peter and Mary Muecke Molzen. He was a lifelong area resident. He married Alma Popken June 19, 1924, at Brunsville. He was a retired area farmer, moving to Le Mars in 1952. Mrs. Molzen died in 1965. He was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church and was an Army veteran of World War I.

Survivors are two sons, Glenn of rural Akron and Lloyd of Le Mars; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Anna and Bertha Frerichs, and four brothers, Alfred, Herbert, Walter and Elmer Molzen
