Virgil W. Peck, 54, North Sioux City, died Monday (Sept. 10,1984) in a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.

Services were held Thursday in the Berkemier Funeral Home, Sioux City. Rev. Elbert Dougherty officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Akron.

Mr. Peck was born Feb. 19, 1930, at Westfield, Iowa. He married Clara Jorgensen Aug. 23, 1958, at Dakota City. They made their home at Westfield until 1972 when they moved to North Sioux City. He was employed by the city of Sioux City and later was a driver for Heyl Truck Lines.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Douglas and James, both of Marion, Texas; four daughters, Debbie, Patty, JoAnn and Polly, all at home; five sisters, Mrs. Cleo Johnson of Kalispell, Mont., Mrs. Bernice Hansen of Rapid City, S.D., Mrs. Marlys Brewer, Miss Marilyn and Mrs. Mary Kamradt, all of Sioux City; two brothers, Robert of Sioux City and Bernard of Alcester, S.D., and two grandchildren.
