Paul H. Haage, 34, rural Le Mars, died in a tractor accident Saturday, June 13, 1992, at Le Mars.
Services were held Tuesday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Preston township, rural Akron. Rev. Jack Hebard officiated.
Burial was in the church cemetery, under direction of the Mauer-Johnson funeral home in Le Mars.
Pallbearers were Jeff Klemme, Steve Deiterman, Kent Allen, Scott Rohmiller, Grayling Wilier, Chuck Dumas, Clark Tindall and Bob Book. Honorary pallbearers were Merrill McNaughton, Jim Warren, Herb Philips and Gerald Westhoff.
Mr. Haage was born Sept. 4, 1957, at Le Mars, the son of Harvey and Amanda (Popken) Haage. He graduated in 1975 from Akron high school. He married Galene Eller Sept. 3, 1988 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran church. He was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran church and a past board member. He was a member of Pheasants Forever, a hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Christina (Tina) Haage of Le Mars; his mother of Le Mars; a brother and his wife, Jerome and Julie Haage of Le Mars; and a sister and her husband, Paulette and Marion Shappell of Mount Pleasant, la.; nieces and nephews, Shawna, Matthew and Dana Shappell, and Jennifer and Luke Haage.
He was preceded in death by his father, last year.
