Harry J. Ludwigs, 76, of rural Le Mars died Friday, May 29, 1992, at his home.

Services were Tuesday at Christ Lutheran Church, rural Le Mars. Rev. Jack Hebard officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery, under direction of Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars.

Mr. Ludwigs was born March 24, 1916, at rural Le Mars to John W. and Mary (Renken) Ludwigs. He was born, raised and died in the same house. He married Lillian Jelken May 3, 1945; at St. John's Lutheran Church, Preston township. He farmed all his working life, retired in 1981 and continued to live on the farm. His home was named a Century Farm in 1983. Mr. Ludwigs was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and had served on the church council. He was also a member of Farm Bureau.

Survivors include his wife; a-son, David and his wife, Ramona, of Le Mars; two daughters, Patricia Ann and her husband, Robert Plueger, of Le Mars, and Anita Ann and her husband, David Meyers, of Sioux City; grandchildren Sheila and Brenda Ludwigs, Carrie Ann and her husband, Robbie Trometer, Kelly, Teresa, Aleisha, Shanin,
Marty and Jacy Plueger, Jill, Nicholas, Ryan and Kimberly Meyers; great-grandchildren Kendra, Joshua, and Jacob Trometer, Ashley Schneider; a sister, Adele Ludwigs; and a brother, Alvin Ludwigs.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, Catherina.
