Funeral services for Loyd F. Lemen, age 79, were held Tuesday, September 14 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Church of Christ in Akron, the Rev. Beryl Hicks officiating. Music was "This World is not My Home" and "Beyond the Sunset," with Frances Mackey, soloist and Mrs. Orin Harris, organist.

Pall bearers were: Marion Morehead, Lloyd Searls, Floyd Wilcox, Bruce Mclnnis, Larry Knecht and Harold Adams. Schroeder Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Prayer services were held at the funeral home Monday evening, September 13. Masonic rites by Freedom Lodge 434, AF & AM.

Mr. Lemen died September 10 in the Akron Nursing Home after a long illness.

Loyd Lemen was born July 9, 1892, Durham, Missouri. On October 27, 1913 he married Elsie Lake at Quincy, Illinois. He lived in Missouri until 1918, moving to Akron, where he was a farmer and a carpenter by trade. He was an Elder Emeritus of the First Church of Christ of Akron and a member of Freedom Lodge.

His survivors are his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Marvin Klemme of Akron; a son, Dr. Albert of Wagga Wagga, N.S.W., Australia; a foster daughter, Mrs. Velda Peck of Akron; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
