Mrs. Dorothy Semple, 46, the former Dorothy Gronemeyer, died unexpectedly Saturday morning at her home on Garfield Blvd., Chicago. Relatives here said she had not been ill and was stricken as she was preparing to go to work.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Mauer funeral home in Le Mars. Rev. Don Deines officated and burial was in Le Mars city cemetery under direction of the Mauer funeral home.

The former Dorothy Gronemeyer, she was born July 30, 1925, at Akron to Mr. and Mrs. William Gronemeyer. She was confirmed April 6, 1941, in St. John Lutheran church, Craig. Her marriage to Roy Semple took place April 24,1965.

Survivors are her husband, Roy, Chicago; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Gronemeyer, Le Mars; two brothers, Glenn, Le Mars; and Russell, Tripoli; four sisters, Mrs. Ray (Jean) Hartmann, Anthon; Mrs. Wayne (Mildred) Winterfeld, Ord, Neb.;Mrs.Ronald(Edith) Sechler, Meriden and Mrs. T. G. (Norma) Flint, Mobile, Alabama.
