Paul Friske
Paul Fritz William Friske, 84, of Akron, died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 1992, at the Akron Care Center after a long illness.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran church in Akron. The Rev. William Flemr officiated; Tint Kelley, vocalist, sang "How Great Thou Art" and "The Old Rugged Cross". Carol Harris was organist. Burial was in Riverside cemetery in Akron, under direction of Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron. Pallbearers were Darcy Jacobson, Garry Jacobson, Clayton Jacobson, Russell Jacobson, Gary Hillrichs, Thomas Dunham, Donald Dunham and Charles Crowe.

Mr. Friske was born Sept. 20, 1908 in Kingsley, Iowa the son of Gustav and Anna (Roloff) Friske. He lived in Kingsley before moving to the Akron area in 1930. He married Lois L. Dunham, Jan. 10, 1947 in Elk Point, S.D. The couple farmed in Iowa and South Dakota until 1976, when they retired and moved to Akron.

Mr. Friske was a member of Immanuel Lutheran church in Akron.

He is survived by his wife, Lois of Akron; a son, Jack D. and his wife Judy of Yankton, S.D.; a sister, Edna Friske of Hawarden; a granddaughter, Mary Ellen Friske; and five step-grandchildren, Sean, Donald, Ray, Roy, and Amber Kelley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, James and Paul; three sisters, Freda Scheld, Mary Balk, and Mabel Klemme; and a brother, Arthur.
